ASMI trained Riders are encouraged to sign up to be on a volunteer e-mail database. You will be notified when a group requests Rescue Riders to be present at a function in the event their trained services are needed. There is no obligation & Rescue Riders are always volunteers. Currently thanks to Allstate and Hupy & Abraham Law Firm, partial reimbursement of ASMI Basic (100 series) training is being offered to those who agree to be Rescue Riders in IL, WI, & MN. Look for the RR logo next to eligible classes and click on the RR Logo to find out more about reminbursement.

100 Series: Basic

"A Crash Course for the Motorcyclist"

Learn what to do in the first 5-30 minutes after a crash until professional help arrives. Helmet removal, jaw thrust, and moving the injured are all addressed & practiced

200 Series:

"Basic Refresher"

This 3 hour class is for those who have completed the 100 series class and want to refresher their basic skills. This class also helps to prepare students for the Advanced class if some time has lapsed

300 Series: Advanced

"Advanced Bystander Assistance"

Learn to be a leader at a scene as well as how to assist the EMS when they arrive.

Note: Must complete a 100 series class within two years or attend a Basic Refresher

"Anatomy of a Motorcycle Crash"

This class assumes you know treatment and concentrates on specific motorcycle related concerns such as Scene safety, Helmet removalMechanisms of Injury, Psychosocial aspects

A 3-4 hr. hands on skills lab.

Must have completed Advanced, or an Advanced refresher in the past two years.

Advanced Students maintaining skills can complete either a Basic or Advanced Refresher
